In December last year, Typhoon “Odette” made landfall nine times, devastating parts of Visayas and Mindanao.
Due to the extensive damage to agriculture and infrastructure as well as the number of affected and displaced families, it takes several months for the victims to recover what they have lost.
Allianz PNB Life, one of the fastest growing insurance companies in the country, continued to help by donating more than 3 million pesos to relief efforts, as well as joining SOS Villages d ‘Children to help these communities.
SOS Children’s Villages is a non-governmental organization that aims to provide family-like care to children in need. She believes that family is what builds a strong foundation in children’s lives, helping families touched by Odette is just an extension of her mission.
Allianz PNB Life’s mission, on the other hand, is to secure the future of every Filipino, not only by offering insurance products and services tailored to their needs, but also by contributing to the community through various programs and action plans. These are the principles that make this partnership and this gift meaningful.
Studies have shown that typhoons, especially in the Philippines, are getting stronger and more catastrophic due to rising sea temperatures and rising sea levels caused by climate change.
As a strong advocate for sustainability and environmental conservation, Allianz PNB Life is serious about its efforts to help fight global warming.
“We are advocating for a more sustainable way of life that can significantly reduce the effects of climate change and global warming,” said Allianz PNB Life President and CEO Alexander Grenz, adding that the company is in able to show its deep commitment to creating a greener, more livable world through its programs.
