The Ronda (DO) District Office beat out 70 other frontline offices in the Visayas to win the award, which was presented at the LTO Operations Forum 2022 held March 9-11 in Bacolod City. .

LTO Chief Deputy Secretary Edgar Galvante and LTO Executive Director Atty. Romeo Vera Cruz presented the award to Mhike Jelord Rollo, LTO Ronda DO Manager, and LTO 7 Regional Manager, Victor Emmanuel Caindec.

The Ronda DO was only built last year.

“This award is very gratifying because we have made a lot of sacrifices and faced many challenges, from the pandemic to the devastating Typhoon Odette,” Rollo said.

Amid the challenges of implementing health protocols, losing power and internet due to the typhoon, and adjusting the new LTO IT system, LTO Ronda DO has proven to be one of the model offices in all LTO offices in the Visayas, says Caindec.

“The award confirms the hard work of LTO Ronda with the support of the entire LTO 7 region in its efforts to serve its people beyond the mere mandate of providing registrations, licensing and law enforcement. It also shows that LTO reaches out to its communities and other stakeholders to ensure that good governance is felt by its constituents.

Ronda DO opened in November 2020, LTO’s most pandemic resistant office was judged based on the actions imposed/initiated by the head/head of office to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and the productive activities carried out by its office staff while the office is in lockdown or while staff were on alternative work arrangements.
