MANILA, Philippines – More than 46,000 people in Luzon remain displaced due to Typhoon Karding, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Sunday.
In its latest situation report, the NDRRMC said a total of 46,452 people remain displaced – 3,098 in 26 evacuation centers and 43,354 in other locations.
The death toll stands at 12, with 52 people injured and five others missing.
The NDRRMC also assessed agricultural losses and damages at 3.076 billion pesos, while infrastructure damages are estimated at 304,245,310 pesos.
Karding left the Philippines area of responsibility on Monday evening, according to the Philippine Geophysical and Atmospheric Astronomical Services Administration, after beating parts of Luzon.
