Taqueria Tsunami is all about Fusion | ServeLooksATL

I tasted the fusion of the Far East and south of the border at Taqueria Tsunami. As their name suggests, they are all focused on fusing Latin-Asian flavors. My favorite bites and sips:

  • Korean Fried Cauliflower – Crispy cauliflower tossed in a sweet and spicy Korean sauce. Unique find alert! It’s vegan and delicious!
  • Guacamole fresco – Made to order guacamole with tomatoes, onions and fresh cilantro. Chunky but smooth and full of flavor.
  • Queso – Cottage cheese dip topped with jalapeños and pico de gallo. Neither too runny nor too thick. Perfect consistency.
  • Avocado and Cilantro Imperial Rolls – Homemade and lightly fried to perfection and served with Santa Fe ranch and a sweet and spicy Thai sauce. The crispiness of the egg roll and the creaminess of the avocado make it a unique bite.
  • Asada zing taco – Bulgogi (Korean) marinated steak* topped with shitake mushrooms, lettuce, soy-sesame dressing and sesame seeds.
  • Tempura Shrimp Taco – Tempura shrimp topped with Asian slaw, fresh cilantro, and a hoisin-lime aioli.
  • Rich Man’s Taco – Marinated tenderloin* served with lettuce, pico de gallo and queso fresco.
  • Thai Chicken Taco – Grilled teriyaki chicken, cabbage, carrots, cilantro, sesame seeds and drizzled with Thai peanut dressing.
  • Bbq short rib – Short ribs coated with Kogi barbecue sauce and garnished with cucumber salad
  • Aloha taco – Grilled teriyaki chicken topped with pineapple pico de gallo and spicy sriracha mayo
  • Lime Chipotle Chicken – Marinated chicken topped with black beans, pico de gallo and chipotle sour cream
  • Pacific Rim Taco – Grilled Chilli Crusted Mahi topped with Lettuce, Pico de Gallo and Lime Hoisin Aioli
  • Baja taco – Tempura fried fish topped with Asian coleslaw, cilantro and spicy sriracha mayonnaise
  • Korean Carnitas – Carnitas-style roast pork tossed with Korean pepper sauce, pickled cucumber, micro cilantro
  • Chicken Enchilada Bowl – Shredded chicken, white rice, corn salsa, queso, lettuce, pico de gallo and black beans topped with sriracha mayonnaise, cilantro and tortilla strips.
  • Strawberry Basil Margarita – Tequila Deleón Blanco, Fresh Strawberries, Crushed Basil, Patron Orange Lemongrass, Simple Syrup, Fresh Lime.
