Coral Gables, FLA… Kent State’s women’s golf team will look to end its fall season as strong as it started as the tenth-ranked Flashes travel to Florida for the Hurricane This year’s invite.

Kent State jumped ten spots in this week’s GolfStat rankings after winning the Sunflower Invitational at Lawrence.

Individually, the Flashes were trailed last time out by Mayka Hoogeboom, who won his second event of the season in just three attempts. It was also a great day for Jennifer Gu and Noromal Nuchsila, who clinched three of the top six finishes for Kent State second and sixth respectively.

Kent State will be the top-ranked team at this year’s Hurricane Invitational, but will be in good company against teams like #15 SMU, #38 Nebraska, #44 Miami and #48 New Mexico.

This will be the final event of the fall women’s golf season, with play resuming Feb. 5 for the UCF Spring Challenge.

Monday’s action is scheduled to begin with an 8:30 a.m. tee time and Kent State will be paired with SMU and Miami for the first round. Live scores all week are available at GolfStat.com.
