A mini-tornado was spotted sweeping through Al Ain on Wednesday as large parts of the United Arab Emirates were battered by heavy rain and high winds.
Dramatic footage of the tornado swirling above the ground was shared on popular social media channel, Storm Center.
The sighting took place during a second day of stormy conditions in the country.
The National Meteorological Center has issued an alert for the prospect of precipitation and winds of up to 40 kilometers per hour until 8 p.m.
Heavy rains were recorded in Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Al Ain throughout the afternoon.
Videos released by CMN showed large puddles forming on the roads.
Members of the public were urged to take care in the difficult conditions.
