Tsunami swimmers win medals at Revelstoke swim meet

Fourteen Kamloops Tsunami members combined to record more than 65 top-three finishes and placed fifth over the weekend at the Revelstoke Invitational Swim Meet, which featured nearly 200 interior and Okanagan athletes

Fourteen Kamloops Tsunami members combined to record more than 65 top-three finishes and placed fifth over the weekend at the Revelstoke Invitational Swim Meet, which featured nearly 200 interior and Okanagan athletes.

Thea Prochotsky and Jack Savage won overall gold in their respective divisions.

Luca McKay, Michael Karpuk and Alexandra Karpuk took overall silver and Liam Blackall and Caiden Blackall took overall bronze.

McKay broke the meet record in the boys’ Open 1 division in the 50-meter breaststroke and 50-meter freestyle.

Michael Karpuk and Jared Roberts have each recorded six personal bests. Victoria Karpuk and Luca McKay have each achieved five personal bests.

Thea Prochotsky, Torrun Maurice and Caiden Blackall totaled four personal bests.

Myles Prochotsky and Kayleigh Roberts have each achieved three personal bests.

Liam Blackall, Michael O’Flaherty and Alexandra Karpuk have each recorded two personal bests.

Tsunami will next be in action at the Golden Dolphins Invitational Swim Meet on July 16-17.
