Typhoon-affected families in Bulacan receive food parcels



THE Provincial Government of Bulacan, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), has distributed food parcels to 12,068 families affected by Tropical Storm “Paeng” during its two-day relief operation in the coastal towns of Calumpit and Hagonoy on November 18 and 19. , 2022.

Governor Daniel Fernando and Vice Governor Alexis Castro were joined by PSWDO staff and barangay (village) officials as they distributed the food parcels, each containing four kilograms of rice, assorted preserves and instant noodles.

Calumpit Mayor Lem Faustino and First District Board Members Allan Andan and Mina Fermin joined Fernando and Castro on the first day of the Calumpit relief campaign.

PSWDO official Rowena Tiongson said 990 families had received emergency assistance in Barangay Panducot; 1,000 families in Barangay Sta. Lucy; 905 families in Bulusan; 2,075 families in Gatbuca; and 2,388 families in Barangay Iba O’Este.

Fernando and Castro continued the relief operation the next day in Hagonoy and delivered food aid to 1,300 families in Barangay Tibaguin; 1,424 families in Barangay Consignacion; 1,036 families in Barangay San Juan; and 950 families in Barangay Palapat.
