Unused data from Globe customers can now extend relief to victims of Typhoon Odette

Globe customers can now convert their data into Rewards points which can be donated to help families and communities affected by Typhoon Odette.

Starting January 15, Globe customers can simply go to the Rewards section of the new GlobeOne app and press convert data from the account of their choice.

The data conversion is as follows:

1 GB = P10

5 GB = P50

10 GB = P100

Donations will be used in the relief efforts of partner organizations Ayala Foundation, GMA Kapuso Foundation, Rise Against Hunger Philippines, Tzu Chi Foundation, ABS-CBN Foundation and PGH Foundation, in areas affected by Typhoon Odette.

“Our goal is to provide our customers with as many options as possible to help and reach our kababayans affected by Typhoon Odette, all from the safety of their homes. This industry-first Data-As-Currency offering empowers our customers to not only maximize their data subscriptions, but also to reach out,” said Globe Chief Commercial Officer Issa Guevarra-Cabreira.

Prepaid and postpaid mobile customers, as well as volume-based prepaid and postpaid home broadband customers, can convert their points into donations through the new GlobeOne app.

Meanwhile, donations through Globe Rewards and GCash are still open. For those interested in making a donation, the #GCashGivesBack QR codes of the partner-recipients can be viewed via this LINK.
