THE WeLoveU International Foundation, a global charity under the leadership of Honorary President Zahng Gij-jah, has set out to improve the educational facility at Engracio M. Castañeda Central Elementary School in La Paz, Tarlac.
WeLoveU supported the bright future of young students by repairing two classrooms and donating teaching materials such as four blackboards and 50 chairs.
The inauguration ceremony which was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic finally took place on April 7, attended by 50 students and teachers, including school principal Sheila Mabutol, the Office of the Superintendent of school division Rolando Pozon and the representative of the mayor of La Paz Venustiano Jordan, following quarantine protocols.
WeLoveU had supported the students of the said school with 100 sets of school supplies such as bags, stationery and umbrellas. The classrooms that have been renovated will be used for students following the alternative learning system (ALS) and special education (SPEd).
In 2017, the foundation supported Bagong Silangan Elementary School in Quezon City with 20 sets of audio-visual equipment such as a television, laptop and speaker. In 2013, after the onset of Typhoon “Haiyan”, it supported labor to pack relief goods and meal service, while constructing two buildings in two schools in Tanauan to help children recover devastating typhoon.
This NGO is also associated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications.
