Wind from New Orleans, threat of tornado Friday

We are tracking a threat of possible severe storms in southeastern Louisiana on Friday, but it could come at two different times. We have issued a weather alert day for Friday, but so far only for morning storms. We may find another round of thunderstorms breaking out over southeastern Louisiana around noon and then moving eastward into the evening. At this time, the northernmost and westernmost portions of our viewing area are under a level 1 (marginal) risk of severe thunderstorms, i.e. Thursday evening thunderstorms . Then on Friday we are under level 1 (marginal) and 2 (light) risk for severe storms where the main threat comes from strong winds over 58 mph. But there is enough rotation in the atmosphere that there is a low threat for tornadoes, as well as a risk of flooding also from the combination of morning thunderstorms and a second round of strong rains.
